Specially since when i look at your pdf it looks like you need a PHD to operate/program this. So i have no idea how you come to that statement.

I am mac/hack only but would welcome a linux solution for when Mac inevitably goes the way of the Dodo's with current management.Ĭlick to expand.Huhhhh ? Compared to ANYTHING on the market for creating anything more complex then a simple keyboard shortcut i have yet to see ANYTHING more customer friendly. It would be amazing if one day controllermate became multi OS but based on what i so far got as feedback from its developer that is zero chance. Yes you can do a lot of stuff with some of the available macro tools, but all super basic, anything more substantial is virtualy impossible atm.

There is nothing even close like this on windows and linux unfortunately. Also if controllermate hits its limits, it can easily talk to the outside world and you can drive os level bash/python/binarys to do even more crazy stuff The more you play with it the more you discover what is possible and how it can and will improve your workflow tremendously if used well. Its all about the user experience and smooth operation and interaction of controls.

Thats how i started myself and why my own controllers have long ago crossed the 10.000-15.000 objects mark. You can start small with a few simple buildingblock and then expand, finetune etc to make for a more smooth and fault tolerant user experience with virtual unlimited posibilities. Controllermate is unparalleled in its possibilities and a godsent peace of software. Your RYGCBM keys could be set up the same. I would have one key assigned with single tap to split and a double tap (press and hold) to join. For example you have split clip and join clip as two buttons. Its a bit of a toss up if a more fluid experience is worth the extra hours spent working out the programming.Īnd you could save a bunch of buttons by using a tap/double tap function (or press and hold) to trigger similar resolve functions. This does start to make each controllermate action a bit more complex as it now has to take into consideration other buttons being press. So if the jog/shuttle dial is not moved for a second the mouse up button is triggered. You could remove the need for the mouse up button press by adding a delay to the function. Then there is the fine tuning you can do! So after you select the RYGCBM colour, you could use your current mouse keys setting or the cursor building block to drag the value left or right to increase/decrease that colours value from its current state.

I would look into the cursor building block as a way to contain everything within controllermate.Īlso, whenever you press a RYGCBM key for sat or hue, doesn't that then default that colour on the curves page as your first command is to set the mouse position to the centre? Or is the previous value held? I use the numerical hue/sat value in the bottom right of the curves page. What I love about controllermate is that there are many ways to complete a task and many more to refine it, and then many more reasons why you choose a particular approach. I run a midi twister to do the same thing and run it in conjunction with an xkeys 64. Hey Skipper, very informative tutorial and an interesting approach.
